Today my children are young. They wouldn't care if I put their names on the web. They wouldn't know.
But someday they will be older and search-engine accessible. For that reason, I won't be using their names. I'll use my first name, and the pictures are really us, but unless you know us and know this blog is here, you won't be able to find it with just their names. (Does that make sense?)
With that, let me introduce you to The Family:
I'm Lynne, aka, The Mama. You can read more about me here.
My husband will be known The Honey Bunch. It's a little joke in our family. It is typically said with just a hint of sarcasm, because every happy marriage needs a hint of sarcasm.
The Boy is my oldest. Born with a rare chromosome deletion, he faces extraordinary challenges. But he's cute! We started calling him The Boy soon after he was born. The Honey Bunch would call everyday on his way home from work and ask, "How's The Boy?" You can read more about him here.
Naturally, our daughter, is The Girl. She's turning into her brother's biggest advocate, but she struggles with her feelings about her brother especially around her friends. It breaks my heart when she struggles, and it's something we are working through together.
Our third child, a boy, presented a problem. Well, at least as far as nicknames went. Boy Two? My husband again calls to check on the kids and would ask about The Boy, to which I responded, "Which one?" So, because of his Zen-like demeanor, his infectious laugh, and his big belly, the youngest has come to be known as The Buddha Baby.
And that's our family. I hope you enjoy reading more about us!
